How I beat Shoemoney, John Chow, and Zac Johnson

September 24, 2008 Posted by Tyler Cruz

On the opening day of BlogWorld Expo – the 3rd day of our Vegas trip, was a really fun event hosted by MarketLeverage that was modified at the very last second.

Originally, Shoemoney had challenged John Chow to a Cashinator competition to see who could make more between them two, but John had surprising replied by declining – or to be more specific, rejecting – Shoemoney’s challenge because it would be too easy.

I was walking around BlogWorld somewhere when I received a message on my Blackberry with two words: cashinator showdown. I made my way over to the MarketLeverage booth to find out that John Chow, Shoemoney, Zac Johnson, and myself were all going to enter the both at once to see who could make the most money.

To top if off, we all agreed that the 3 losers of the competition would each have to give $100 out of their own pocket to the winner, as well as the money they collected from the machine. The total of all this would go to the winner, and he’d have to give it all away in a contest on his blog.

After we all went into the Cashinator at once, we then did a secondary individual challenge and added those winnings to our first grab to give each of us a final total.

You’ll note how was I resourceful by using what I had at hand to give myself an advantage. I was wearing a suit, so I took it off and put it back on backwards. This allowed me to use it as a net which really helped when the cashinator turned off and all he bills up top fell to the ground.

Check out the video below:

Never underestimate the underdog! Nobody ever suspected I might take it away…

The showdown was extremely fun and I’d like to thank MarketLeverage for hosting it and  Shoemoney and John Chow for letting Zac Johnson and I join in on their cashinator competition.

It was so fun that I’d like for MarketLeverage to consider doing similar fun competitions in the future. I know that I’d definitely like to participate in a future competition again.

The wad of cash was so big that my brand new fancy dancy money clip I just bought actually broke when I tried to stretch it to fit. Both Zac and Shoemoney paid me right away with a $100 bill each, but John paid me the following day… in a very unique way. But that’s a story for another post.

Stay tuned for more Vegas and Blog World posts soon!
