Affiliate Marketing Update: May 6th, 2010
May 6, 2010 Posted by Tyler CruzIt has actually been 3 months since I last gave an update on my affiliate marketing efforts.
As explained in the screencast below, I paused all of my campaigns on February 11th as I didn’t have the time to focus and optimize my campaigns due to being busy with many of my websites such as revamping Movie-Vault.com.
One of my work goals for 2010 was to hit an average of $100/day profit from affiliate marketing. Based on the past 7 days, I made that goal. Now, I obviously won’t consider the goal officially reached until I can consistently average $100+ a day profit for several months straight, but I’m trying to be optimistic.
During the past 7 days, my affiliate marketing campaigns brought in a total of $739.94 profit which is a new 7-day record for me. Most of this was due to my main campaign converting an an insanely high 23.47% conversion rate, but my recent foray into e-mail and zip submit offers contributed as well.
Several days ago I started to do some extensive split-testing on my secret traffic source, and came up with some very interesting results.
Below is a 30-minute screencast in which I go into great detail on the split-testing, how I plan to scale, as well as explain my e-mail submit strategies. I also divulge a very effective bidding strategy/tip that many super affiliates use these days on Facebook to get a lower CPC:
If you’re reading this in an RSS viewer or via E-mail that you will probably not see the above video. In that case you will need to visit my blog via your browser in order to watch it: https://www.tylercruz.com.
Below are 2 screenshots for those who don’t want to watch the video:
I’ll try to keep you guys posted on how my e-mail submit scaling goes, as there is a lot of potential there as explained in the video.
Why are you up at 3:30 am? When do you go to sleep and when do you wake up? Seems like you need a regular routine. (You’ll probably get more work done as well..)
Anyway, congrats with the affiliate marketing. Hope for you they don’t start shaving your traffic..
We don’t shave at PeerFly. The only issue that he might run into is getting blacklisted by the advertisers (as he mentioned in the video). Just need to keep the quality up and collect your payments 🙂
wow, great work. i like to be as sucksesfull as you.
Awesome video, you spend over $500 in traffic, why dont you focus on SEO and get free traffic?
dose the landing page or site your using get any traffic from search engines?
BTW I notice your using John chows Standout comments plugin. very nice. I wanted to buy one, but 67 bucks for a plugin is to much for me right now.
P.S. send me a free copy of Johnchows plugin if you can
thanks and keep up the good work!
Edgar
I noticed the Standout Comments too. Pretty cool, but I agree, a little expensive.
I see the value in this plugin.
While SEO would get him cheaper traffic, it is a much longer process. It seems that the more successful affiliate marketers rely on traffic sources like PPC. Not only is that well targeted traffic, but it makes things more stable since you control how much traffic you get. With SEO there can be ups and downs while rankings fluctuate. Personally I would think the best strategy would be to use PPC for your main traffic, but concurrently work on SEO to gradually build up a free stream of traffic.
Mr. Boxing News,
It’s not a debate of whether it’s worth $67. However, I think you’d appreciate it more if you paid what it’s worth instead of getting it free. 🙂
SEO… broke money…
You can slowly SEO a site while running PPC…if you are up for all that work.
I need to study more and to learn all this stuff. 🙂
Keep up with great work.
You’ve certainly reminded me of the value of hard work and consistency.
Good luck on your affiliate marketing goals.
I agree.
Thanks for posting. It really help me a lot before this earlier i was having little knowledge about this.
Thanks for the update on your affiliate marketing efforts Tyler. It’s an improvement from just reading about how fast you can walk around a lake 😉
Congrats on your affiliate marketing results. That is a great 7 day total considering you still seem to be learning things about affiliate marketing. You’ve obviously got some great offers to market if you are getting conversion rates like that.
Cool, you can use that $700 to pay me when you lose the Weight Loss Challenge.
Why waste your time trying to run and win. Keep optimizing your campaigns and you can pay me the $600 super easy!
Tyler, are you creating your own landing pages for the zip and email submits or are you using the ones provided? Thanks.
I’m direct linking. There’s no need to pre-sell the user on submit offers 🙂
Why don’t you try to be the guy on the other end of zip and email submits collecting more money?
I am really interested in knowing your secret source. Is all your traffic source paid or mainly free?
All my affiliate marketing uses paid traffic.
You should try SEO as well.
White hat SEO will provide you Good PR as well.
I just started trying SEO for the first time. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll let you know in a year.. lol
Would it be possible to elaborate a little more on the Zip Submit efforts?
Hi guys,
Well done Tyler. I love how you took out time to put the chart together and then give us a video. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards,
Sam

I really love these updates from you. You know, these posts can encourage so many people to continue the path that could finally lead them to making money online, and they need these inspiring posts since they could easily lose their hope in the middle of the way…
Time can change most of things
I’d love to see the eMail submit offer with $10 EPC lol. Am I reading that right?
Good luck btw,
