30-Minute HD Screencast of my PPC Affiliate Marketing Resurgence
October 11, 2011 Posted by Tyler CruzHey everyone – sorry for the delay in posts. I am now back from vacation though, so you won’t have to wait as long for the next post.
It’s much harder to blog while you’re on vacation than you think. That is, if you want to enjoy the vacation at least.
I had originally planned on dedicating my next few posts about my trip, but since I know that a lot of you are getting really tired of the delays in-between posts as well as all the personal posts, I thought I’d “reward” you by recording a 30-minute screencast showing the results of the PPC affiliate marketing I started getting back into during the past 2-3 weeks.
I’m still recovering from a real nasty cold I got during my final few days on vacation, but decided to record the screencast for you guys anyway
Also, this is the first time I’ve ever recorded a screencast in HD! This will come in especially handy since it can be difficult to see the numbers on smaller video resolutions. So, be sure to watch in 720p HD:
(Note: You may need to visit the post directly at TylerCruz.com if you’re reading this via e-mail or RSS in order to see it.)
As always, I always recommend PeerFly and AmpedMedia in case you haven’t signed up with them yet.
I’ll be back soon with another post.
You should report like a 1 month or 1 week total on these offers in terms of money spent, earned and profit total.
So that we can see how much you actually made, without actually revealing individual offer totals and earnings.
I think that would be more inspiring to see than just clicks and CTR%’s and the few numbers that you share in the video.
Can you post a graph with the conversion rate data?
Just by looking at it I see it go from 10% to 3.9% in a month 😐
As I mention in the screencast, those are all the same offer. Each line represents a different subid tracking a different ad.
you waste time by posting these 30 minute videos … which I doubt people are watching in full
better to make a post with screenshots…. do a poll with your readers and youll see what i mean
I do the screencasts partly because I explain everything as I go through them. I know that if I just posted screenshots that I’d get a ton of questions…
Thanks for trying Tyler but this doesn’t really tell anybody anything. Replacing your SUBID’s with something the user can follow, adding in the cost you spend per click and the actual earnings would benefit people more.
Excel would be better than Photoshop.
Lastly, back to the SUBIDs. Beginners out there should know that you want to track EVERYTHING! Date,Time, Time of Day, IP Address, Ad Copy, Keyword, Campaign, Source, etc… as one of these may be the key to going from loss to profit.
Okay, when I do an update screencast I’ll try to include some $ numbers.
As you know, we are always willing to work with our publishers on offer payouts. We want you to profit so you can keep your campaign moving! 🙂
120 dollars a day, very nice. Just for the best.
The video is a little long, I don´t imagine every reader spending 30 minutes watching the whole video , plus more 5 reading the post.
Yeah, I too second that buddy, its just information overload!
While it would be a good alternative to have, 30 minutes isn’t really that long. I watched it at the end of my work day while sipping my coffee, hehe.

Quite a long video for a presentation. I would suggest that you include the actual profits… on your list. That would make your presentation a bit more interesting.
These long videos of you lisping your way through zillions of numbers that correspond to nothing are slow death.
Not every post has to have a video or fancy graphs or multimedia graphics. If you just posted short, regular updates on what you do every week to hypothetically make money your traffic would pick up again to what it used to be and this place would stop being a troll graveyard.
Hi Tyler,
I’m sorry, but I have either the strength or the time (30 minutes) on a video for the PPC. An article in my taste is short and concise, facts, information and knowledge.
I agree, there should be an alternative to those who cant watch the videos
Great post. Keep it up and hope there are more to come 🙂
I hope he does…^_^
Thanks Tyler. Won’t re-hash what everyone else said which I agree with. Interestingly enough, I just wrote a post on my blog with screen shots of my affiliate account. You can see it at http://money-cake.com/2011/10/make-money-online-with-affiliate-marketing/.
Congrats on the big numbers
Lovely, thank you for the HD screencast. Yes, some screenshots would be really good too since we will be able to see through more quickly.
Amazing picture my man!
Great post. Keep it up and hope there are more to come
Agree with everyone else, 30 mins is far too long tbh! Sorry!
Thanks for the update
