The Story of My Affiliate Marketing Metamorphosis
September 29, 2012 Posted by Tyler CruzA couple of months ago, I wrote a nice guest blog post over at JohnChow.com. It was the first guest blog post I’ve ever written.
It is titled From Failure to Success – My Affiliate Marketing Journey, and shares my journey of years of loss or meagre success with affiliate marketing, to finally seeing some nice results. In fact, it took me 4.5 years to see any real noticeable results.
I wrote the guest post for backlink and exposure purposes, but I put a lot of time into the post and it is a really good post if I do say so myself, so I wanted to make sure that my own readers were aware of it, in case you don’t read John Chow’s blog.
It garnered 75 comments, which is triple the amount his posts usually receive, and the post is really just meant to act as encouragement to "keep at it".
Check it out, and maybe it’ll give you a bit of a bit of encouragement!
I completely missed this when it was originally posted. Great post Tyler!
Encouragement to do what exactly? Spend a crapload of money and brag about gross income from affiliate marketing while avoiding talking about net profit like the plague?
lol
Woah. I missed it but will definitely read it now
You are the man! Wow! You exploded into the stratosphere. Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration!
Yeah, I missed it too, and will surely read it right after this! Thanks, man.
And how are you doing now with Affiliate Marketing? Making some really good profits? You should put an update on this blog about your progress to-date as you’ve been MIA a bit lately on your blog.
I agree with James above. Please update us on your affiliate marketing progress… and share with us some good tips. Hehe…
Okay, will check out your post on JohnChow! I am sure it’s an awesome one!
Hi Tyler, you are ace, the bestest internet marketer ever. How about going into more detail and showing us your traffic sources, keywords, offers, creatives, campaign settings and lending us the money to start our own, and by that I mean your, campaigns. Alternatively you could just alter your payee details so the money comes into our accounts instead.
You are the greatest man.
Awesome.
He’s still working on RobotWarz and his post about goals for 2011. Cut the man some slack, he’s one BUSY dude.
Thank you Tyler, I’ve missed your guest post!
I’m reading it right now and maybe I will comment on JC blog also 🙂
And how are you doing now with internet marketing? Making some really good profits? you must put an update on this blog about your progress to-date when you’ve been MIA a bit lately on your blog.
Thanks for sharing this… though I know – the way to success in affiliate marketing is not that easy. I just hope we can read more of your experiences with affiliate marketing. So, we’ll know the best course of action.
Damn Tyler, that was a great read. Haven’t been to John Chow’s blog in a while. Summer is NORMAL for most to get lax about their IM as most spend time with their families, vacation, and have lives. So don’t be too down on yourself, you’ve got the entire cold winter to pound this out again.
I wish you could go into other avenues of your technique though. Even a stripped down version of a landing page would be helpful. I honestly have no idea how to do this type of AM.
Yeah.. I read it already on john chow blog, Its really inspiring, you went through troubled days for a long duration, but I think your consistency let you won.
All great advice, you have been a huge help to my website http://www.StocksonWallStreet.com so I thank you!
nd how are you doing now with web portal marketing? Making some really good profits? you must put an update on this blog about your progress to-date when you’ve been MIA a bit lately on your blog.
I completely missed this post on John Chow’s blog, thanks a lot for pointing it out. I am always on the search to read about internet marketing success stories to see if there is anyting that I can learn and apply to my own budding business. If you ever do get to read this comment then can you anwer me this, do you know how many actual click throughs you got from the actual guest post? I would love to find out.
Over what period of time?
I also was not aware about your contribution on John Chow’s blog, anyway I’m moving towards the same and continue reading your success story because I’m also on the same track and even after 3 years of my online presence helping me earn from options other than affiliate marketing what is really a big loss, isn’t it ?
Thanks for informing !
I managed to read the post on JohnChow.com and found it to be very encouraging. Would love to see other successful IM/AM go into this much depth about their story. Especially the struggles and failures they overcame.
